EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the public.)
The commission will meet in executive session to consider discipline and charges
against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police Department, to consider sensitive
matters relating to public safety, to review the evaluation of the Police Chief, and may
consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the
commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-
5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County Charter Section 13-20 (b).
• Discussion on the Police Chief's Program of Work for 2017
• Discussion on the Police Chief's Annual Evaluation Standards
• Consideration and Investigation of Complaints
✓ HPC 16-47: Complainant alleged that while conducting an investigation, an
officer responded to her and others in a threatening and intimidating manner.
✓ HPC 16-48: Complainant alleged that an officer's investigation and reports were
biased.
