Pilikulaiwi – Spring Intersession Program
The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation
announces …
The Pilikulaiwi – Spring Intersession Program will be starting on
Monday, March 20, 2017 through Wednesday, March 22,
2017. This 3-day, 2-night program will give participants an
opportunity to learn about this island we are fortunate to live on.
We will explore sections in the Hamakua, Kohala & North Kona
districts. We will participate in planting native trees, learn “pono”
ways to enjoy the vast outdoors and build character through
“malama honua” taking care of the land.

Enrollment is limited to 30 participants in the 6-12 Grades.
Registration fee is $40.00 per participant. Registration will begin

on Tuesday, March 7 by appointment only, and will continue until
all spots are filled. Registration sites are as follows,
Kawananakoa Center (Lindsey/Kevin) 961-8732, Waiakea Uka
Gym (Mark) 959-9474 or Wainaku Gym (Scott) 961-8738. Please
contact the various registration sites for more information.
