Discussion: The Hawaii county Game Management Commission is exploring the necessity, feasibility, requirements, and opportunities for a County Built and Operated Shooting Facility. In our initial probe into this effort; a. Richard Hoeflinger, Past President and Director of On-Target in the need for a Shooting Facility b. Representative of Hawaii County Police Department and their need for an adequate shooting facility c. Sgt. Major Tom Campbell of Pohakuloa Training facility on Public Opportunities at Pohakuloa d. Jim Keefe of On-Target will be presenting the nuts and bolts of range development e. Joey Mello – James Cogswell of DOFAW as to Hawaii State participation in range development VIII. New Business: IX. Adjournment: (8:30PM) Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may convene in one or more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session. Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not appear on the agenda should call the commission secretary at 323-4444 or email donna.urban-higuchi@hawaiicounty.gov to have the subject placed on the next available agenda. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes (hereinafter “HRS”) §92-3.5, the Hawai‘i County Game Management Advisory Commission will be conducting this Committee meeting via videoconference.
