County to Hold Tsunami Training Exercise April 26 and April 28
The County of Hawaii Departments of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Civil
Defense, in partnership with State Highways and the Hawaii Island Safety and Security
Professional Association, will conduct an island-wide training exercise to prepare for
tsunami emergency response.
The exercise will take place on Wednesday, April 26 and Friday, April 28 from 9:00
a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on each day.
No road closures or traffic delays are anticipated during the exercise. You may notice
field personnel at intersections along coastal roadways.
