NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a meeting to be held by the North Kohala Community
Development Plan Action Committee of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provision
of Section 92-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

2. Proposed changes to 2017 Meeting Schedule (meeting location, dates and times).

1. PONC PRESENTATION: A Commissioner from the Public Access, Open Space, and
Natural Resources Preservation Commission will provide the Action Committee a brief
presentation about the Commission.

2. GENERAL PLAN UPDATE: Update on the General Plan Comprehensive Review: The
Planning Director initiated a comprehensive review of the General Plan in 2015. Staff
from the Planning Department's Long Range division will provide an update on progress
and a preview of next steps.
3. LETTER FORWARDED FOR ACTION BY SUBCOMMITTEE: The Action Committee
will review and consider a motion to approve a letter from the AC regarding the
acquisition process of parcels in North Kohala.
4. LETTER FORWARDED FOR ACTION BY SUBCOMMITTEE: The Action Committee
will review and consider a motion to approve a letter from the AC requesting that they
receive copies of subdivision applications submitted to the Planning Department for
North Kohala.

ADJOURNMENT
Notice: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable
opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the North
Kohala Community Development Plan Action Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or
written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is on her/his behalf or
as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with
an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal
to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the hearing date to allow for mailing and
thorough Committee review.
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five working days
(prior to meeting date) of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3 (b), Hawaii County
Code}. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spend
more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting
to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to
communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code}.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language
interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at 961-8288 as
soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for
accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices
for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged
