RE: Reappointment of Ed Taira to Hawai'i Housing Finance Development
Corporation
I am writing in support of the reappointment of Mr. Ed Taira to Hawai'i Housing Finance
Development Corporation board when his current term ends on June 30, 2017.
Mr. Taira ably served in my Cabinet as administrator of Housing and Community
Development from 2000 to 2008, and I whole-heartedly endorse him for his vast
experience in providing housing for our island's neediest people.
He has been instrumental in bringing funding for housing projects on the Island of
Hawaii.
Mr. Taira is an invaluable resource for our community, and we urge you to reappoint
him to the board of HHFDC.
