FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Park Closed for
Volunteer Projects
The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation
announces the closure of Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Park in Hilo on
Saturday, June 3, 2017 and Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 7:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The Department is working with two volunteer groups to install
three new picnic tables and three new benches at the park. Each
of the two Saturdays, the park will be closed for preparation and
pouring of the concrete pads on which the tables and benches will
be installed.
The Department appreciates the public’s assistance and
