Dear Ms. Tarring:
Thank you very much for your letter dated May 20, 2017.
I want you to know that I understand your concerns about transportation for kupuna and
the disabled. As you are surely aware, Mass Transit is facing major challenges
regarding its fleet of buses and their maintenance.
Please be assured that we are working hard to fix the problems with Mass Transit, and I
expect measurable improvements very soon.
The County Office of Aging is also working to resolve bottlenecks in providing transport
service to our kupuna and disabled people, and we appreciate the community's
patience in the meantime.
Thank you for taking the time to write to me. I appreciate very much your support for
this administration's efforts to make our Island a nicer place to live.
