PLACE: Pahoa Neighborhood Facility, Pahoa 15-2910 Ku'uhome Street, Pahoa, HI 96778 AGENDA CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: (Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda(requires six votes, and must comply with HRS§92-7(d)) ANNOUNCEMENTS: PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: Members of the public are invited to speak to any items on the agenda. To be recognized, please fill out and submit a yellow request form to the Planning Assistant or Action Committee Chairperson prior to the Public Comment portion of the meeting. Comment shall be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item, subject to the discretion of the Chair of the Puna CDP Action Committee. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 9, 2017 BUSINESS: 1. Report on the General Plan Comprehensive Review: Action Committee members who were present at the June 13, 2017 meeting will provide a report based on the Planning Department's presentation. 2. Response from the Department of Parks and Recreation re: Permitting Farmers Market Operations at County Parks and Facilities: Communication No. 2017-10.1: The Action Committee will discuss the response from the Department of Parks and Recreation and pending legislation (Bill 47) introduced by Council Member Valerie Poindexter proposing amendments to Chapter 15, Article 9 regarding the operation of Farmers Markets on County www.cohplanninadept.com Hawal`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer puua(d-hawaiicounty.aov Park facilities. NOTE: According to the Operating Guidelines of the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee, all interested persons shall be afforded an opportunity to submit data, or written testimony on any agenda item above. Oral testimony shall be taken at the beginning of each meeting, immediately prior to an agenda item, or at the end of the meeting, and shall be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item, subject to the discretion of the Chair. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at (808) 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2 —91.3(b), Hawai'i County Code). A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action my communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2 — 91.3(a)(6), Hawai'i County Code).
