EXECUTIVE SESSION (CLOSED SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 10:00 A.M.)
The commission will meet in executive session to consider discipline and charges
against officers or employees of the Hawaii Police Department, to consider sensitive
matters relating to public safety, and may consult with Corporation Counsel on
questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges,
immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92-5 (a) (2) (4) (6) and the Hawaii County
Charter Section 13-20 (b).

• Consideration and Investigation of Complaints (Briefly summarized.)
✓ HPC 17-18: Complainant alleged that voices telepathically told him of an officer.
He also alleged that while he slept, an officer used other officers to harass him
and make him move.
✓ HPC 17-20: Complainant alleged that during his arrest for DUI, officers
assaulted him.
✓ HPC 17-21: Complainant alleged that an officer used force on her when they
responded to her phone call threatening suicide.
✓ HPC 17-22: Complainant alleged that during her traffic stop for speeding, the
officer was aggressive and threatening.
