Requirements of Sunshine Law for Action Committees and any permanent
Subcommittee:
■ Discussions, deliberations and decisions must be conducted at a meeting;
■ Every meeting must be open unless executive meeting is allowed;
■ Committees must provide notice —this notice must include the agenda, be
posted 6 days in advance, be posted at the County clerk's office, and must
state the date, time, and location of the meeting;
■ Committees must allow the public to attend & accept public testimony:
County meetings should be located in ADA accessible facilities and provide
auxiliary aids or interpreter services upon request;
■ Committees must keep minutes: Minutes must be written, include
date/time/place of meeting, substance of all matters proposed, discussed,
or decided, and must be made public within 30 days of meeting.
