CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES- August 22, 2017 3. APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM AND/OR SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA 4. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – Comments on current agenda items only. Time limited to 3 minutes. 5. COMMUNICATIONS A. FINANCIAL (BUDGET) REPORT B. LEGISLATIVE REPORT: No Report for September C. PRESENTATIONS: 1) Hui Kuahiwa Rumen Study and its significance to game management 2) What Does Game Management Mean? a) Cooperative Resource Management – HB105 b) Changes to be made to effectively apply integrated management strategies. c) What is the State of Hawai’i’s Game Management Policy? d) HCR22 - The management and protections of our “Natural Resources.” Game requires no upkeep and care, just management to specific goals County of Hawai‘i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. ORDER OF BUSINESS A. NEW BUSINESS 1. Reintroduction of HB104 and BH105 2. Shooting Range Community Outreach – How the Public can help in this effort. 3. District Meetings with State Commissioners? 4. Changes to §183D-10.5 Wildlife Revolving Fund 7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS A. Colin Onaka – Hui Kuahiwa Game Club; purpose and strategies of management. 8. ANNOUNCEMENTS th A. Next meeting is tentatively scheduled for October 17, 2017 in Hilo th B. November meeting tentatively scheduled for November 14 C. No meeting will be held in December Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may convene in one or more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting with the Board’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission’s powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session. Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not appear on the agenda should call the commission secretary at 323-4444 or email donna.urban-higuchi@hawaiicounty.gov to have the subject placed on the next available agenda. Notice to Public: The September 19, 2017 Hawai‘i County Game Management Advisory Commission meeting will NOT be conducting via videoconference. Game Management Advisory Commission members will be present at the following location, where the public is invited to participate:  West Hawaii Civic Center, Building G, 74-5044 Ane Keohokālole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; County of Hawai`i is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. {Article15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County Code. “A lobbyist is “any individual who is engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” {Article 15, Sectoin 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawai’i County Code}. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at 323-4444 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged.
