(SPP 09-000082) Request to amend Special Permit No. 09-82, which allowed the temporary storage of portable toilets, parking for employee and business vehicles and office use on an approximately 1.65 -acre portion of a 4.033 -acre property within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The amendment request seeks delete Condition No. 2, which placed a 5 -year life on the Special Permit. The property is located at the southwest corner of Highway 19 and Kal6pa Lower Road intersection, Kal6pa Homesteads, Hamakua, Hawaii, TMK: 4-4-003:Portion of 050. Approved with conditions. 2. APPLICANT: KA `UMEKE KA`EO PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL (USE 17-000071) Application for a Use Permit to allow the establishment of a Hawaiian language charter elementary school (grades K-2) for 100 students, six (6) teachers and four (4) operations and support staff in an existing facility situated on 1.2042 acres of land within the Industrial -Commercial Mixed Use - 20,000 square foot (MCX-20) zoned district. The property is located at 313 Kuawa Street, which is on the northeast corner of Kalanikoa Street and Kuawa Street, Waiakea, Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-2-032:024. Approved with conditions. 3. APPLICANT: NA WAI OLA PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL (USE 17-000070/ SPP 17-000193) Applications for a Use Permit and Special Permit to allow the expansion of an existing public charter school on 3.6 acres of land in the Single -Family Residential - 20,000 square feet (RS -20) zoning district and one acre of land in the State Land Use Agricultural District. The subject properties include the site of the Mountain View Gym and St. Theresa Catholic Church and is located along the south (makai) side of Volcano Highway, approximately 150 feet east of its intersection with Nichols Road in Mountain View, Puna District, Hawaii, Tax Map Keys: 1-8-002:006, 1-8-002:049, 1-8-004:104.
