CALL TO ORDER & ANNOUNCEMENTS 2. APPROVAL OF REGULAR SESSION MINUTES — September 27, 2017 3. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS 4. OLD BUSINESS a. Review letter to Director Kucharski recommending the County of Hawai`i fund and commission a feasibility study on the issue of providing sanitary human waste management in the near coastal zone to include thorough examination of traditional and alternative technologies 5. NEW BUSINESS a. Update by Planning Department on General Plan b. Update on Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan c. Site visit for November. As public attendance of the visit to Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant next month would be dangerous to health and safety to the public and public attendance is impracticable, it is recommended that the Commission approve a limited meeting for the site visit portion of next month's meeting pursuant to Hawai` i Revised Statutes § 92-3.1(a)(1) d. Review, discuss and act on a letter requested by County Councilwoman Eoff for policy recommendations on water reuse and conservation e. Brief presentation on disinfection technology and terminology consistency recommendation 6. REPORTS/CORRESPONDENCE a. Director's Report b. Commission Member District Update Reports 7. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS a. Discuss options on how to receive additional funding for department b.
