I'm writing to send you my Aloha and to thank you for your very gracious letter
dated November 24, 2017.
It was truly a pleasure to welcome you and your delegation to Hilo on the
occasion of our Sister City relationship's 55th anniversary.
Sister City relationships like the one between Oshima and Hawaii County
provide rich experiences for everyone concerned, and we wholeheartedly encourage
and support the perpetuation of our Sister City ties.
Our warm ties of friendship will surely grow and strengthen year by year. You,
our Sister City friends, will always be welcome here.
We look forward to the next opportunity to see you all again, hopefully during our
Waimea Cherry Blossom Festival in February.
