October 19, 2016
The County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on People with Disabilities met at 10.00 a.m.
at the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 1055 Kino'ole Street, Hilo, Hawaii. The
meeting was chaired by Laura Tobosa.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Laura Tobosa, Chair; Pauline Aughe, Vice Chair; Susan
Shirachi, Sam Nagasawa, Pamela Punihaole, Joshua Pratt.
ABSENT: Richard Dinges (Excused)

CALL TO ORDER
Laura Tobosa called the meeting to order at 10:10 a.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE September 21, 2016 MEETING
Sam Nagasawa moves to approve meeting minutes
Pauline seconds.
Everyone is in favor of approving minutes.
Minutes approved.
Report on the Recreation Ad Hoc Committee.
S. Nagasawa mentioned No Report
REPORT OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII EQUAL OPPORTUNITY OFFICER AND
ADA COORDINATOR, TERI SPINOLA-CAMPBELL
Teri Spinola-Campbell was excused from the meeting and had no report to present.
REPORT FROM COUNTY OF HAWAII RECREATION SPECIALIST, ALISA
MITCHENER
Alisa Mitchener was excused from the meeting and had no report to present.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Laura Tobosa asked the Committee if a letter should be drafted for the family and
friends of James Souza.
The Committee agreed that a letter would be appropriate.
Susan Shirachi and Pauline volunteered to draft the letter.
NEXT MEETING
The Committee decided not to meet for the rest of the year.
ADJOURNMENT
P. Aughe made a motion to adjourn.
