Re: HB 1965 Relating to Veterans Treatment Court

I apologize for the lateness of this testimony, but I wanted to express my support
for HB 1965.
Although I have not been able to obtain success rates for the court, my police
commanders who have attended the graduation ceremony have all been impressed!
The program requires great commitment on the part of the participants, and the
veterans have earned the right to ask that the State do its part to keep the special court
operating. The reward -- saved lives, saved families, a healthier and safer community
will more than justify the investment.
