Herbert Shipman Park Playground Reopened
Following Repairs and Resurfacing
The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation announces the reopening of
the Herbert Shipman Park playground, effective February 7, 2018. This follows the
successful installation of a new playground safety surface, replacement of damaged
and missing components, and comprehensive cleaning.
The Department thanks park users and the general public for their understanding and
patience during the playground closure.
