(45-539 Plumeria St, Honoka'a, HI 96727) ra a CD �C-) AGENDA >M CALL TO ORDER N ROLL CALL ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: (Note that any Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda requires six votes, and must comply with Hawaii Revised Statutes § 92-7(d)) ANNOUNCEMENTS PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: Members of the public are invited to speak to any items on the agenda. To be recognized, please fill out a yellow request form and submit it to Planning Department Staff or the Steering Committee Chairperson prior to the Public Comment portion of the meeting. Comments should be limited to three (3) minutes in length per agenda item, subject to the discretion of the Chair of the CDP Steering Committee. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: The Steering Committee will consider the draft minutes for the June 8, 2017 Special Meeting presentation on the General Plan Comprehensive Update. Review of Agency Comment on the "Recommended Hamakua CDP" and of Revisions Recommended by the Planning Director: During the December 19, 2016 meeting, the Steering Committee recommended approval of a revised version of the March 2016 draft www.hiplanninp-del2t.com Hawaii Countv is an Equal Opportunity Prorider and Employer planning hawaiicounty.gov of the Hamakua Community Development Plan. The Planning Director then invited comment from a wide range of public agencies, reviewed that comment, and formulated recommended revisions. Members of the CDP Team will provide an overview of the agency comment and the Planning Director's recommendations. The Steering Committee will then have an opportunity for questions and discussion. Discussion of Steering Committee Roles during CDP Adoption: The Steering Committee will consider its members' roles during presentations and testimony at upcoming Windward Planning Commission and County Council meetings. AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING: The next Hamakua Steering Committee meeting will be held in conjunction with the Windward Planning Commission Public Hearing Special Meeting, the date and venue to be announced. NOTICE: The purpose of the public hearings is to afford all interested persons a reasonable opportunity to be heard on the above items. According to the Operating Guidelines of the Community Development Plan Steering Committee, a person desiring to submit oral or written testimony shall indicate her/his name and whether the testimony is her/his behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. Written testimony shall be submitted with an original and nine copies prior to testifying. The Committee would appreciate timely submittal to the Planning Department at least one week prior to the meeting date to allow for mailing and thorough Committee review. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Planning Department at (808) 961-8288 as soon as possible, but no later than five working days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accommodations. "Other reasonable modification" refers to communication methods or devices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai'i County Code). A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawai'i County Code).
