Dear Mr. Kim:
Thank you very much for your letter of February 24, 2018, regarding getting your
letter opposing assault rifles published in the newspapers.
Please be aware that there is no guarantee that your letter will be published, but I
can suggest a couple of things to make it more likely to get into print.
First, I would suggest that your document be in letter format which includes your
name, address and daytime telephone number. The Star-Advertiser welcomes letters
up to 150 words. Letters can be emailed to letters a@staradvertiser.com. The Star
Advertiser also offers the public to submit Letters to the Editor through their website at:
https://www.staradvertiser.com/editorial/submit-letter/, or postal mail to:
Letters to the Editor, Star-Advertiser
7 Waterfront Plaza, 500 Ala Moana, Suite 7-210
Honolulu, HI 96813
Again, there is no guarantee that the paper will print a person's letter, but
hopefully these tips will help. Take care.
Aloh.,
Harry Kim
