the Director of your newly-established Hawaii Budget & Policy Center (HBPC) in your
letter of March 7, 2018.
HBPC's mission of being a trusted source of independent, relevant, timely and
impactful research and analysis of State and County budget, tax and related policies in
Hawai'i is a most worthy endeavor.
I share with you the goal of achieving a reduction in poverty and inequality in our
State. My administration is committed to the restoration of trust in government, through
