CALL TO ORDER BY WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISION
Chairman Joseph Clarkson called this special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m., welcoming
Windward Commission members, Steering Committee members and members of the public.
STEERING COMMITTEE
Members Present: Brad Kurokawa (Chair), Farrah -Marie Gomes (Vice -Chair), Glenn Carvalho
Absent/Excused: Scott Enright, Lorraine Mendoza, Jason Moniz, Craig Neff, Ka`iulani Pahi`6
Others present: Michael Yee (COH Planning Director); April Surprenant (COH Long Range
Manager); Malia Ho Hall (Deputy Corporation Counsel for the Windward Planning
Commission); COH Planners: Bethany Morrison, Eric Cook, and Christian Kay and Sarah Hata-
Finley (Commission Secretary)
MEETING OVERVIEW
This meeting was a concurrent Windward Planning Commission Public Hearing to review the
Hamakua Community Development Plan within the CDP project area, and a Hamakua CDP
Steering Committee meeting to abide by the Sunshine Law (HRS Chapter 92) and enable CDP
committee members to attend and provide comments to the planning commission. Members of
the Hamakua CDP Steering Committee attended this Windward Planning Commission Public
Hearing and were able to answer questions from the Commissioners during the public hearing.

WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Donald Ikeda moved to adjourn. Second by Thomas Raffipiy. The motion
carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned by Chairman Joseph Clarkson at 7:25 p.m.
