NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to § 91-3, Hawaii Revised Statutes, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public
hearing will be held by the Police Commission of the County of Hawaii for the purpose
of considering proposed amendments to its rules and regulations at the date, time, and
location indicated below.
Date: July 20, 2018
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Place: West Hawaii Civic Center, Building G Conference Room
74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
The proposed amendments include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Amends rule on committees.
• Amends rule on location of monthly meetings.
• Repeals rule on use of an official seal.
• Repeals rule on commission inquiries.
• Amends rule on filing, processing, and considering complaints.
• Repeals classification guidelines for standards of conduct.
• Amends rule on classification of case findings.
A copy of the proposed amended rules may be obtained at the office of the Police
Commission, 101 Pauahi St., Suite 9, Hilo, Hawaii, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m. Interested persons may call (808) 932-2950 for a mailed or e-mailed copy.
There is a required fee for a copy and required postage. All written comments should
be mailed or delivered to the Police Commission's office or e-mailed to:
0osie.pelayo(a�hawaiicounty.gov at least five days before the hearing. The Commission
may make a decision to adopt these amended rules during the meeting immediately
following the public hearing.
