NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a meeting to be held by the Kailua Village Design
Commission of the County of Hawai‘i in accordance with the provision of Section 92-7,
Hawai‘i Revised Statutes.

Minutes of the Meeting of June 19, 2018
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS
NEW BUSINESS
1. The applicant, Chase Villafana, of Planet Fitness NY, proposes tenant improvements at
the former Border’s Bookstore building to set up a commercial gym.
The proposal includes:
Addition of new bronze anodized windows to match existing
Stucco column wrap around post to match existing finish
Enclose lanai and add total of four (4) new storefront windows.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
1. Discuss/review recruitment efforts for new Kailua Village Design Commissioners in
order to replace those with expired terms.
