(808)935-4429 FAX (808)935-1844 e-mail: chrisyuenz@hotmail.com r Co I have enclosed with this letter the final work of the 1999-2000 Charter Commission, which consists of : (1) Final Language for Ballot; (2) Final Digest of Charter Amendments; (3) The final proposed changes to Charter language, Proposed Amendments 1-16. I have also enclosed a diskette whichcontains these in Word 6.0 format. The "Final Language for Ballot" should be the wording of the questions framed in the November ballot. The Charter Commission will be printing copies of the Digest and distributing them. The Charter Commission will also arrange for publication of the Digest in the two local newspapers and the RFD not less than 45 days before the general election. The Commission has asked for your cooperation in placing the Digest in the various polling places and, if legally permissible, in the voting booth.
