HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM. 125 Brown, T - Mass TransitCOMMENTS FROM TOM BROWN ON: CA-33 (FAILED 1ST READING) CA-23 CA-30 From: Brown, Tom Sent: Monday, December 28, 2009 1:57 PM To: Ashida, Lincoln Subject: RE: Proposed amendment to the Charter Hi Lincoln; Please see my comments: One proposed amendment would require an electronic notice of all meetings be linked to the internet webpage of that board or commission (or related department). You can read the entire text of the proposed amendment here. I am okay with this one. We can put a notice on our hele-on website. Another proposed amendment would require public notices to be electronically delivered within the same time as newspaper publication. You can read the entire text of this proposed amendment here. Not sure about this. It is not clear (to me), who would be the recipient of the electronically delivered notice. It seems it may be redundant to the amendment isted above. Another proposed amendment would require all boards and commissions to maintain websites. You can read the entire text of this proposed amendment here. I am against this. We can put minutes of meetings on our website, but being a small department, I am the person who administers and maintains our website. I have a tough enough time all ready just keeping up and adding and deleting our transit information on the website. Having another website to be the webmaster for would be pretty hard for me.
