I am writing to urge reinstatement of the 2% Land Fund, to be used for acquisition of
designated properties, not for maintenance. 63% of the voters approved this measure in
the 2006 election, and any reduction of the amount of the Land Fund runs against public
sentiment. A vote for reinstateing the 2% Land Fund, at the meeting on February 12, is a
vote for preserving Hawaii's natural resources, and enacting the will of the people. Thank
you.
