To Charter Commission members:
Please vote in favor of placing the 2% Land Preservation Fund on the ballot as a 2% fund.
Please support matching funds donations and use of interest bearing holding accounts to
maximize this fund's potential. Please have this fund used solely for land acquisition for
preservation purposes, not as an alternative to maintenance or park development budget
planning. If this fund is used in connection with other funding or repayment mechanisms
please allow this only in cases that support the purpose of the fund itself and ensure
that land preservation funds are maintained, reported, and tracked separately and not in
combination with accounting for other mechanisms.
