Aloha, Please reinstate the 2% we voters agreed was necessary to secure land that would
be held in perpetuity for the public- what they call in England, the commons-
Why would anyone think tourists want to come here if we make the island full of
buildings like the mainland? We have hotels- so many are not full, we need to keep
Hawaii beautiful. We need to keep the land and parks clean, provide more trash cans,
and like Maui county they have recycling bins right next to their trash bins at all the
parks. If you dont have enough funds or workers to take care of the recycling, you could
ask schools if they want to do that for a fundraiser- But we need beautiful places the
public can enjoy. Beauty is also a way to increase calm and therefor decrease anger and
violence.
