Dear Chairman Haitsuka and Commission Members:
On behalf of the League of Women Voters, we would like to thank you for your
excellent work over the past months. You have been thoughtful and patient.
Those county employees working with you have been helpful and efficient.
We understand that this kind of community service often goes unnoticed even
though it requires considerable commitment. Without a doubt, it is such service
that enables public access to decision making and, in the end, makes our system
work.
We hope that, with the report in its final form, you will consider how best to
educate the public on the ballot measures. The League of Women Voters
considers voter education our highest priority, and we are willing to do anything
we can to assist you in preparing voters for the November election.
