To coordinate safety activities. Develop County of Hawaii safety policies. <br /> 2. Analyze and maintain reports and records. <br /> 3. Prepare safety budget. <br /> 4. Conduct activities for stimulating and maintaining interest of employees <br /> in safety,.. <br /> 5. Develop employee safety educational programs. <br /> 6. Serves as advisor to Safety Committes - prepares agendas for business to <br /> be transacted. <br /> 7. Supervises and conducts, also appraises accident investigations. <br /> 8. Plan and direct a regular program of safety inspections. .,.. <br /> 9. Prepare and issue reports showing County's departmental performances and <br /> accident trends. Also prepares detailed industrial accident reports as <br /> required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor & Industrial_ Relations. <br /> 10. Make personal inspections for the purpose of discovering unsafe conditions <br /> or unsafe work practices and report to respective department heads, verbally <br /> and/or writing, potential unsafe practices or unsafe work conditions observed. <br /> Submit recommendations for administrative and/or engineering corrective <br /> action and assist in the same. <br /> • <br /> 11. Correlate safety activities with the work of the medical department to <br /> insure proper selection and placement of employees. <br /> 12. Approve purchase of safety equipment. <br /> 13. Monitor, County of Hawaii Compliance of all Federal and State Statutes and <br /> local ordinances relative to industrial safety. <br /> 14.
