Dear Mr. Sakata:
Thank you for the recent letter and invitation to
attend the May 22 Charter Commission public hearing.
Unfortunately Common Cause has a very limited budget
and we are unable to attend any off-Oahu meetings .
Common Causeis most interested in any proposed sunset
provisions for the new county charter. We have supported
sunset provisions for government boards and agencies
and have a great deal of material and research available.
We would be happy to share this material with you.
If possible, could you send us the proposed sunset draft
for the new charter? We would appreciate the opportunity
to comment on it.
If we can be of assistance in this or any other areas, please
don't hesitate to write.
