The minutes have not been approved by the Commission; however, <br /> because the first draft of the Charter is scheduled to be presented on <br /> June 19, 1979, we are sending the minutes to you to aid you in your <br /> consideration and deliberations of Article VIII , Department of Water <br /> Supply, of the County Charter. These minutes will be presented to the <br /> Water Commission for approval at its next regular meeting on June 20, <br /> 1979 after which time we will send you the approved minutes. <br /> Also enclosed for your information is a write-up "To Be or Not To Be," <br /> prepared by the staff, which indicates the growth and accomplishments <br /> of the Department of Water Supply,.since its creation in 1949. <br /> The following are the recommendations made by the Water Commission <br /> during the meetings: <br /> SECTION 8-1 . ORGANIZATION. <br /> Recommendation: It is recommended that Section 8-1 . Organi- <br /> zation be retained in its entirety. <br /> SECTION 8-2. WATER COMMISSION. <br /> Recommendation: It is recommended that Section 8-2. Water <br /> Commission be retained in its entirety, including subparagraphs <br /> (a) , (b) , (c) , (d) , (e) , and (f) . <br /> SECTION 8-3.
