3. Review of County departmental operations
and receive department recommendations for
Charter revision if any. Departments t

testify are: Liquor Control., Police,
Personnel , Water Supply and Safety
Coordinator.

Departments to testify are: Civil Defense,
Fire, Prosecuting Attorney and Corporation
Counsel.
FEBRUARY
6 Continue review of departmental operations.
Departments to testify are: Research and
Development, Parks and Recreation, Planning,
Public Works .
13 Continue review of departmental operations.
Departments to testify are: County Clerk ,
Board of Ethics, Finance (to include County
• Physicians, Children and Youth) , Status of
Women, Committee on Aging.
20 Meeting cancelled.
27 1. Continue review of departmental operations.
Department to testify: County Council .
2. Evaluate the various forms of County govern-
ment, e.g. the existing strong mayor system,
city manager format , etc. Guest speaker,
Fred Koehnen .
MARCH
6 - Continue review of departmental operations.
Departments to testify are : Mass Transit
Agency, Planning Department.
13 Consider proposals for the reapportionment
of the County Council . Guest appearance,
West Hawaii Committee, Kailua-Kona.
20 Continue the above discussions and
evaluation if necessary and commence
review of the County Charter, section
by section. -
