<br />DR-4366-HI NR 013 <br />July 30, 2018 <br />HI-EMA-PIO: 808-733-4300 <br />NEWS DESK: 808-851-7928 <br /> <br />News Release <br /> <br />FEMA Registration Deadline for Kilauea Damage is Aug. 13 <br /> <br />HONOLULU <br />earthquakes have through Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 to register for disaster assistance with FEMA. <br /> <br />Recovery officials urge residents who have yet to register to do so by visiting the Disaster Recovery <br />Center now located at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility, 15-2908 Pahoa Village Road in Pahoa. <br /> <br />Hours at the recovery center are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to <br />4 p.m. Saturday. The center is closed on Sundays. <br />Survivors may also register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by phone at 800-621-3362 or <br />(TTY) 800-462-7585. Applicants who use 711 or Video Relay service may call 800-621-3362. <br />The toll-free numbers are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. <br />Disaster assistance can include FEMA grants for temporary housing, home repairs and replacement, <br />as well as low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. These loans are <br />available to businesses, private nonprofits, homeowners and renters to cover losses not fully <br />compensated by insurance or other recoveries. <br />Aug. 13 is also the deadline to file a loan application for physical damages with the SBA. Applicants <br />may apply to the SBA online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela <br />Customer Service Center at (800) 659-2955 or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov for more <br />information on SBA disaster assistance. Individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing may call <br />(800) 877-8339. <br /> <br />### <br /> <br /> <br />e of money for the long-term rebuilding of disaster-damaged <br />private property. SBA helps businesses of all sizes, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters fund <br />repairs or rebuilding efforts and cover the cost of replacing lost or disaster-damaged personal property. These <br />disaster loans cover losses not fully compensated by insurance or other recoveries and do not duplicate benefits <br />of other agencies or organizations. <br />
