Help the Bamboo Patch Sing
Friday, August 3, from 8 a.m. to noon
Kenji Kuroshima is a bamboo maven, tour guide, tea practitioner, official
photographer for Merrie Monarch Festival, and member of the board of
directors of Friends of Lili'uokalani Gardens. He strongly asserts that
"when bamboo is happy, bamboo sings."
Kenji once again will lead a crew of volunteers in periodic cleaning of the
bamboo patch at Lili'uokalani Gardens. Please join in the fun and wear
gardening clothes, closed toe shoes, and gloves. Glasses or other
protective eyewear are a good idea. Refreshments provided.
Members of the public who wish bamboo poles may stop by the pile at
the edge of the sidewalk on Banyan Drive between 9:30 a.m. and noon.
The remainder of the pile will be cleared away after noon.
For more information, follow Friends of Lili'uokalani Gardens on Facebook.
Friends of Lili`uokalani Gardens
P. 0.
