Dear Mayor Inoue:
I am writing to express my heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful good wishes for my
restored health.
My doctor has given me strict orders to slow down, but it hasn't been easy to do
so as the volcanic eruption in Puna continues. However, I want you to know that I am
blessed with a really good team of staff as we address the emergency together.
Your kind thoughts for my strength and improved health really have provided a
boost to me. I cherish your friendship and prayers in this trying time.
Please send your dear wife my fondest regards, and tell her I remember both of
you with the greatest fondness.
Once again, I thank you very much indeed for your thoughtfulness, and for your
friendship.
