Dear Mr. Kalama:
I'm writing to thank The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation for its very generous
donation to the Hawaii Island Volcano Recovery Fund.
The funds will go a long way to supporting local organizations on the Big Island which
are working to relieve the suffering of the families and neighborhoods affected by the
Lower East Rift Zone eruption.
As I'm sure you know, the recovery effort will take years, as we work to help people
return to normalcy after this traumatic series of events.
The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation has set a wonderful example with your
willingness to reach out to provide relief to our Tess fortunate neighbors in Puna.
