HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-08-25 Post Offices to Open on Sunday, August 26, 2018 after Hurricane -- press release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEContact: Duke Gonzales, APR Aug. 25, 2018808-423-3713 duke.gonzales@usps.gov usps.com/news Release No. HO-18-28 Hurricane Lane Impacts to Postal Operations on 8/26 Most Post Offices Statewide to Deliver Mail on Sunday HONOLULU –The U.S. Postal Service announced the following Hurricane Lane-related adjustments to its operations for Sunday, Aug. 26: All post offices on the islands of Oahu, MauiandKauai will be providing mail deliveryon Sunday; no retail services or mail pickup from blue USPS mail boxes Hawaii island - The Pepeekeo Post Officewill be closed on Sunday due to water damage;all other Hawaii island post offices will be providing mail delivery; no retail services or mail pickup from blue USPS mail boxes Post offices on the islands of Molokai and Lanai will be closed; no mail pickup from blue USPS mail boxes Postal Service management will make additional decisions regarding adjustments to postal operations as needed. # # # A self-supporting government enterprise, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that reaches every address in the nation: 152 million residences, businesses and Post Office Boxes.
