Quorum has been met. Counsel III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (January 18, 2018) A. Lee Ann moved to approve the Minutes with the edits and was discussed, seconded by Jewel. IV. TREASURER'S REPORT Hawai'i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer A. January Financials — Mele Moved to approve December and January Report, Lee Ann Seconded. B. Amendments to this years Budget and next fiscal year— Mele moved to accept the ammendements, LeeAnn seconded. C. Vote to request funds from CSW for projects. Lee -Ann Moved to ask State CSW for projects, Mele seconded. V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC None. VI. CORRESPONDENCE None VII. REPORTS Cyd - State CSW — No Report VIII. OLD BUSINESS A. Teen Dating Violence — • Update on Cell Phone Safety cards • Cost to Print Card. — UH Hilo Women's Center will cover expense. • Approval of Language on Card — Discrection of committee Jewel will finalize and forward to Farrah. B. Real Women Essay Contest — Farrah • Breakdown of essay by category: Grades 5-6 25 essays Grades 7-8 22 essays Grades 9-10 10 essays Grades 11-12 24 essays • Can everyone read 2 categories? I will ask Mitch to read in one category. I can also reach out to Cyd since I see that she's not at the meeting. I can have UH Hilo Women center staff assist with reading in one or two categories if we are short. I can have essays to everyone by Friday. 2 • Not sure if we are going to be able to make the April date for luncheon. County still has to send out for bids. Should we look at Sundays in May? Even if we push back to May 6, that might help. • Budget Shortfall — ( Mele ) C. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Forum • Continuing to partner in professional development workshops: Negotiations Skills for Women and Communication Skills of Highly Effective People held January 11 (Hilo) and January 12 (Kona). This coming Thursday and Friday (March 8-9) will be How to Run a Great Meeting. D. CSW Brochure -Farrah • No update at this time. E. Urgent Services Directory • Farrah — included in 80 packets for Negotiation Skills for Women and Communication Skills of Highly Effective People workshops in January, will be including in packets for How to Run a Great Meeting Th/F. Distributed 50 at The Vagina Monologues Resource Fair on February 17. Provided 150 to UH Hilo Counseling Services. • Alan will be updating Tracking Document accordingly. Thank You Alan! F. Human Trafficking — No Update • Update on Discussions — Speaker to CSW Committee Suzanne Tiaula from the prosecutors' office. • Mele has a resource list attached. • Still waiting on news article. G. Equal Pay • Equal Pay day is April 10 • Mele made a motion to ask State CSW for $385 for this committee project, Jewel seconded.. H. CSW Membership Nominations 3 • Kami Bolster — Application is missing as it was turned into the Mayor's Office on 1/03/2018. Brooke followed up with Lisa. It's lost and cannot be found. • Applications 3-4 on file from 2016-2017, are they still valid? Wanted to invite to our meeting. IX.
