EASLEY AND AUSTIN K. <br />P. EASLEY (FORMERLY BRUCE B. EASLEY) (AMEND REZ 04-000030) was called to <br />order at 9:32 a.m. in the West Hawai‘i Civic Center, Community Center, Building G, 74-5044 <br />Ane Keohokālole Highway, Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i, with Chairman Keith F. Unger presiding. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Keith F. Unger, Scott Church, Perry Kealoha, Sonny Shimaoka <br />and Faye Yates <br /> <br />ABSENT AND EXCUSED: Nancy Carr Smith and Michael Vitousek <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Malia Hall, Esq. (Counsel for the Commission), Michael Yee (Planning <br />Director), Jeff Darrow (Planning Program Manager), Maija Jackson (Planner), Shancy Watanabe <br />(Planner) and Noriko Sauer (Commission Secretary) <br /> <br />And approximately 70 people from the public in attendance. <br /> <br />APPLICANT: BRUCE B. A. EASLEY AND AUSTIN K. P. EASLEY (FORMERLY <br />BRUCE B. EASLEY) (AMEND REZ 04-000030) <br />Application for a 5-year time extension to comply with Condition D (Secure Final Subdivision <br />Approval) of Change of Zone Ordinance No. 05 66, which reclassified 20.254 acres of land from <br />an Agricultural (A-20a) to Agricultural (A-10a) zoning district. The property is located along <br />the west side of Kaloko Drive, approximately 4,000 feet mauka from the Haleamau Street - <br />Kaloko Drive intersection, Kaloko Mauka Subdivision, Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaiʻi, TMK: <br />7-3-027:007. <br /> <br />UNGER: The first agenda item, New Business, Applicant Bruce Easley and Austin Easley, <br />formerly Bruce Easley, Amend REZ 04-000030, application for a five-year time extension to <br />comply with Condition D, Secure Final Subdivision Approval, of Change of Zone Ordinance <br />No. 05 66, which reclassified 20.254 acres of land from an Agricultural A-20a to Agricultural <br />A-10a zoning district. The property is located along the west side of Kaloko Drive, <br />approximately 4,000 feet mauka from the Haleamau Street-Kaloko Drive intersection, Kaloko <br />Mauka Subdivision, Kaloko, North Kona, Hawai‘i, TMK 7-3-27: Parcel 7. We’ll start with a <br />presentation from the Planning Department. <br /> <br />WATANABE: Aloha and good morning, everyone. Hope everyone is comfortable. The <br />applicants are Bruce and Austin Easley. This is for an amendment to Change of Zone Ordinance <br />05 66. The subject property is outlined in red here in the Kaloko Mauka Subdivision. It’s about <br />4,000 feet from the intersection of Kaloko Drive and the Haleamau Street in the North Kona <br />District. The nearest stream is the non-perennial Kailua-Kona Stream, which is about three and a <br />half miles away, and flows to the south and away from the subject property. <br />1 <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />
