Subject: 2% Land Fund
The 2% land fund has finally begun to show that we can increase our recreational capabilities, thus
attracting more tourists on Hawaii.
The notion of collecting these funds, then not authorizing expenditures is not only rejecting the will of the
voters but hurting our ohana and tourists by restricting the availability of new lands. We have voted three
(3!) times for the land fund, so the message should be clear, even if you personally feel otherwise.
There is much work to do- only 12 properties out of 166 of properties proposed by citizens has been
acquired.
