Growth Management Community Group Meeting

ATTENDEES:

ACTION COMMITTEE REPORT:
Discussed the County presentation of Hawaii Land Use 101.
Discussed importance of the next AC meeting (November 19t'')
PLANNING DEPARTMENT APPLICATIONS:
No Applications to review although two Additional Farm Dwelling Applications were processed. Those
will be added to next month's meeting agenda.
Discussed updated Land Use Summary Report.
Discussed the DWS plans for a well at Halaula. This will be discussed in detail at next month's meeting
to include information on any rezoning / subdividing proposed.
Tangent discussion on parking at Pololu, coastal access, and the County Park land in Hawi.
DISCUSSION ON COMMUNITY DESIGN GUIDELINE:
The Growth Management Community Group plans to implement a Community Design Guideline
addressing signage issues to serve as a mechanism for the Action Committee and the Community to be
part of the application process for signs. Discussion tabled until next month's meeting.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
We are going to experiment with an earlier meeting time. Next month's meeting will begin at 5:30pm.
The Growth Management Subcommittee meets the first Monday of each month from 5:30-7pm
at the Old Judiciary Building in Kapa'au. Everyone is welcome.
