The Office is in the process of evaluating its business model. I<aren will explain the busi-
ness model that the Hawai'i County Office of Aging has been using, which has been to con-
tract with Services for Seniors to provide case management services. She will help us un-
derstand how this model works, its costs, its benefits, its shortcomings. This will help us
advise Kimo as to whether this is the best way to provide services, or whether case man-
agement should be brought in-house.
8. AREA PLANNING: Deborah Wills, HCOA Planner
Deborah is leading the Office of Aging in developing its new 4 -Year Area Plan. She will
report on how the process has been going so far, and what the next steps are before finaliza-
tion.

If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of
becoming a lobbyist (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code).
A lobbyist means, "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends
more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of
attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others
to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code.)
