Subject: 2% tax
I was horrified to learn that there is a proposal to gut the 2% land tax and use funds for other purposes. You have an
obligation to fulfill the will of the people. At a time where public lands have experienced trauma from the volcano it is
more important than ever to preserve the aina for future generations, and to keep every square foot of this island from
being developed.
Do not change the 2% tax and use it the way it was supposed to be used.
