As such, our goal will be to promote career awareness in government employment.
We will do this by first presenting an orientation of the facility in a large group setting,
and then touring various departments in smaller groups so students can gather information
about qualifications, educational requirements and experience necessary for a career in
government.
Our plan is to do a follow-up activity in the near future with interested students and staff
mentor related to career shadowing.
Government Career Day will be held from 9:00am to Noon on Friday, February 15, 2019
and will begin in Building A. Refreshments including a light lunch will be provided. Please reply
by December 13, 2018 so we may prepare for a successful day. Space is limited.
We look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Barbara Kossow at 323-4448 or
Barbara.kossow@hawaiicounty.gov to RSVP or for more information.
Mahalo,
Harry Kim
Mayor
