HomeMy WebLinkAboutComm No 0029.03 - Testimony - CA-13 - Use of Special Funds in Times of Declared EmergencyFrom: Noa Lincoln <nlincoln@hawaii.edu> Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2019 10:17 PM To: Charter Commission Subject: Testimony: Opposition to CA -7 and CA -13 Aloha, I am writing to vehemently oppose CA -7 and CA -13, both of which I see as endangering the PONC funds for preservation of open space on Hawaii Island. This would be short sighted and take away from an important, long-term program to preserve open space in Hawaii County. It was hard fought to obtain this fund, and the program has not even sufficiently up and running yet. This funds acquired there were put there in good faith to preserve open space, and not be taken for other purposes. Please do what is right and maintain the 2% PONC funding. Thank you. This is a personal testimony, and has no bearing or representation of my employer, the University of Hawaii.
