The eruption caused major disruption of business in <br />Pahoa Town, and recovery has been distressingly slow. <br />The County's Planning Department has contracted a consultant to prepare a <br />master plan to revitalize the town. A wastewater treatment plant and collection system <br />will be a key aspect in any such plan. <br />Pahoa's revitalization will anchor the recovery of the entire impacted region, and <br />State assistance in funding such a large project would be much appreciated.
