To the members of the Charter Commission
Thank you for your services.
I am testifying in favor of the CA -9 and in favor of the amendment to strengthen the maintenance fund.
At a time when more and more places that were accessible to families are becoming inaccessible to the public and
squeezing us into fewer places.
Preservation and access to open spaces are more necessary than ever not less. Indeed the loss of access to open spaces
diminishes the quality of life for
this and future generations. Our treasured places are being developed for the pleasure of the super wealthy at the
expense of the general public, and the land fund and maintenance fund is the only way the public is insured of
reasonable access for future generations.
