<br />TAX BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Complaint Hearing <br />Wednesday, October 17, 2018 <br />Real Property Tax Conference Room <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Melvin Ventura called the meeting to order at 2:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Present were: Board Members Melvin Ventura, Wesley Takai, Grace Reinhard, Michael Hughes and <br />Nelson Harano; Deputies Corporation Counsel J Yoshimoto and Craig Masuda; and Real Property <br />Appeals Board Clerk Elizabeth ‘Nina’ Swain. <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />There were no statements from the public. <br /> <br />COMPLAINT HEARING <br /> <br />Board was informed that no complaints were received for 2018. No one was in attendance for the <br />hearing. A call for questions was made. <br /> <br />Mr. Hughes moved to close the hearing. Seconded by Mr. Takai. A call for discussion was <br />made. Motion passed by a vote of 5:0. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />No discussion held on old business. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> Mr. Takai requested that Corporation Counsel provide information to the other Board <br />Members as to the purpose of the complaint hearing.
